Keratin treatment is not a straightening treatment but a smoothing treatment that leaves your hair in the most beautiful condition. The treatment lasts for up to three months, however, we have found that most of our clients are getting around 5-6 months from our Keratin treatments.

How Keratin Works
The treatment is pretty simple. A keratin-based hair product is applied to your hair and heat is used to lock it in. The stylish may either use a flat iron or a blow dryer for that. This process can take 2 to 3 hours, depending on the length of your hair. Once you are done with the treatment, the stylist will recommend you not to wash your hair for 3 to 4 days, in order to give the solution time to work.
If you like styling your hair straight, a keratin treatment can cut your blow-dry time by 40 to 60 percent. And you no longer have to worry about your hair frizzing up in humid weather, or if you get caught in the rain!
The treatment works for up to 6 months if the correct after-care steps are taken. You’ll have to wash with an SLS-free shampoo and avoid swimming frequently in chlorinated pools or the ocean. It’s really a small price to pay for having hair that perpetually looks like you just walked out of a salon. Don’t be surprised if you catch yourself flicking your hair commercial-style in every mirror you encounter.
